Permanent Magnet Synchronous Coupling (hereinafter referred to as magnetic coupling) is widely used in chemical industry, petroleum, food, marine fuel supply, vacuum and other industry equipment. It achieves non-leakage and non-contact torque transmission.

To complete the design of magnetic coupling, the following four elements need to be provided:

1.Torque

Torque is the most important element of magnetic coupling design. It’s a special torque that makes the object rotate. And if the power and speed of the motor are provided, we can calculate the torque by the formula T=9550P/n.

In addition, we should note that torque is the force of rotation, so there will be a problem of too large or too small. If the torque is too large, in theory it can go to infinity, then the coupling is only a mechanical connection. If the force is too small, the worst result is that the outer rotor rotates, the inner rotor does not turn, and the whole inner rotor becomes a conductor. At this time, according to the law of electromagnetic induction, the heat generated will be quite fast, the temperature will rise rapidly, and the inner rotor will soon produce high temperature demagnetization. So we do not recommend very large or very small torque, which will damage the magnetic coupling.

2.Rotational Speed

The rotational speed feedback to us is the speed of cutting the magnetic lines of force. Knowing this factor, we can consider the temperature resistance of the magnetic coupling.

3.Medium

To consider the corrosion of the isolation sleeve material.

4.Medium Temperature

Consider the starting point of temperature resistance of the inner and outer rotors.
